Door-to-Door Community Walk for Air Quality

Activists Are Awesome!

Thank you Becky, Phillip and Candy for helping phone bank on Wednesday, September 28, during Activist Night. We were able to reach over 100 members!

Also a special thank you to Tim, Chris, and April for coming out on Sunday to help with the Kids Helping Kids Carnival.

Here we go again – join us for the Community Door-to-Door. Unfortunately, we didn't have a good response to the last door-to-door community walk so we are going to try it again this weekend. We will go over the information you need to know to speak to people at the door about the Air Quality risks for asthmatics in Nebraska and Omaha. Then we'll pair up and practice before we put our sneakers to the pavement.

Everyone will be equipped with water, pens, information, and postcards that we will send to Senator Nelson urging him to clean up our air and water. We will also be getting signatures for a petition to send to the OPS and District 66 school boards.

No experience is necessary. Meet us at the Sierra Club office at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 8. Please dress for the weather and make sure to load your skin with sunscreen. We will have water for everyone.

For more information or to let us know you are able to attend, please email Cammy at camellia.watkins@sierraclub.org.
