Legislative Phone Tree

Speak Up for the Environment

It is not too late to sign up for the Sierra Club's Legislative Phone Tree. Members of the Phone Tree place calls to their senators in the Nebraska Unicameral when legislation is being voted on that will have affect Nebraska's environment. The corporations have their well-paid lobbyists to make sure their wishes are widely felt; we need our Sierra Club members to speak up to defend the environment.

You do not need to have a lot of free time in order to help in this way. Most years we activate our phone tree just a few times during the Nebraska legislative session. For those of you with e-mail, we will send you an e-mail fact sheet so you have some basic background information about the issue. The actual phone call to your legislator takes just a minute of your time.

If you would like to be a member of the phone tree, please call Mary Green at 556-1830, or send her an email at mary.green@nebraska.sierraclub.org.
